COMMUNITY SUPPORT ACTIVITIES
Supporting people with intellectual disabilities
Our council's first community service program began in 1992 to aid people with intellectual disabilities. Knights of Columbus councils throughout the United States have been doing that for decades.
Our volunteers collect over one weekend each year at the Shop Rite of Clinton and conduct an annual collection among the parishioners of St. Joseph Church in High Bridge. Over the years we have collected and contributed more than $100,000! The majority of our those contributions directly benefit the ARC of Hunterdon County.

Covid-19 interrupted the annual collections and we were unable to
collect at Shop Rite in 2020, 2021 or 2022 (but resumed them in 2023).

Supporting our Community in other ways
Our commitment to the community extends beyond our local area with our support for troops on active duty with the Operations Shoebox New Jersey program, and support for US veterans at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Lyons and the Veteran's Haven North in Glen Gardner. Members and friends volunteer time on Sunday mornings throughout the year to help veterans living at the Lyons Campus by assisting VA hospital residents to get to the Catholic Mass celebrated there on Sunday mornings.
Another patriotic activity is the annual flag replenishment project on overpasses along I-78 in two counties, initiated after 9-11-2001 with the assistance of local Boy Scout troops . And we seldom miss an opportunity to participate in other community events!
