The St. Joseph Council conducted its first tournament in 1992, within months of its founding and has continued the program ever since. In recent years, the council has partnered with the High Bridge Youth Basketball program to conduct the events at local schools. The annual event has grown to be what may be one of the largest local Knights of Columbus Free Throw competitions in the country.
